Situation:  M&M/Mars used its NASCAR sponsorship to execute a sales promotion with Publix, a major grocery partner in the Southeast. The NASCAR House Party sweepstakes intended to drive consumers to Publix stores to pick up M&M Frozen Snacks and register to win race day prizes.

Solution:  I wrote the radio spot and a gazillion others like it. This one used humor to appeal to the M&M’s Frozen Snacks consumer and NASCAR fan while urging a visit to Publix.  A winner each week would win a big screen TV to watch the race with Cousin Eddie – with party provisions provided by Publix.

Result:  These programs typically delivered double and triple digit sales gains and a ton of market noise for the brand and partners.

Allegra allergy medication wanted to get out ahead of it’s competitor’s shortage at pharmacies. To get allergy sufferers ready to switch to Allegra, the agency presented a promotional radio campaign in projected shortage markets, including Kentucky. 
 
Solution: While this campaign was a promotional strategy, the spots were highly brand focused. I wrote three  :60 versions, each with vignettes featuring allergy sufferers in relevant outdoor situations.

Situation:  Unilever’s heat-activated moisturizing shampoo needed credibility and increased sales volume in a crowded field.

Solution:  :60 commercials combined with spa giveaways and product endorsements by female DJs in 26 U.S. radio markets
 
Results: 100% compliance from all radio stations nationwide.
