  • Audience: Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Insurance Agents
  • My role: Refresh all writing and combine language from several product brochures into one educational piece. Maintain simple language that agents use as a visual when working with clients. Collaborate on concepts with designer, sales and marketing execs.
  • Purpose:  Fixed annuity product education piece for financial advisors at large banks and broker-dealers to share with their clients. Different versions of this were produced for product variations as well as for a different carrier under the Prosperity Life umbrella.
  • My role: Write client-friendly language that integrates with legal/compliance requirements. Collaborate with sales on language as well as with graphic designer on concept.
  • Purpose: 12-page annuity brochure for financial advisors at large banks and broker-dealers to use with clients.
  • My Role: Copy editing, collaborate with designer, facilitate legal review.

Chase

Corporate Card Collateral Piece

Situation: Chase wanted to increase acceptance of its Corporate Card and needed a sophisticated “sales piece” that bank officers would present to prospects. 
 
Solution: The resulting piece contained multiple page inserts that explained the services while subtly selling the benefits.  The project required my services as a supplemental writer – matching not only the voice of the Chase brand but also that of a partner writer. 
  • About:  My writing for pro tennis paved the way for this fun assignment: treat the U.S. Open tennis quarterfinals as the capstone for a prestigious 3-day meeting in NYC, hosted by Nassau for its annuity wholesalers.

  • My role: partnered with designer on concept while writing and project managing invitations, emails, agendas and US Open Are You Game? commuter mug inserts.

  • Results:  Are You Game? concept with tennis graphics and promotional premiums delivered a 98% attendance rate and significant goodwill.

Women's Sports Foundation

Situation: The Women’s Sports Foundation, founded by Billie Jean King, created a program to promote athletics among female middle school students.

Solution: I was hired to create headlines and the body copy for this brochure targeted to coaches.

Nationwide newspaper coupon insert

Ronzoni needed headlines and body copy for this coupon insert that celebrated convenient summer pasta salads and hyped a National Parks Sweepstakes.

Connecticut Open Sponsorship Sell Sheet

2016 Sponsorship Fact Sheet (b2b) 

Situation: This WTA (women’s) pro tennis tournament, needed to maintain the excitement of the event and get to market quickly while the longer form sponsorship presentation was in progress. We also needed something that was also a digital and print leave behind at local b2b events.

Solution: This Sponsorship Sell Sheet was created as a quick one-page read that captured the salient points.

Result: CT Open sales people engaged customers faster in the planning cycle.

Situation: Dr. Cooper, a naturopath, wanted to attract new patients.

Solution: I wrote this newspaper ad to create a need in new patients who were getting nowhere in resolving chronic conditions through traditional medicine.

Situation: Marketing Drive Worldwide needed a writer to create a sell sheet for Unilever’s Sunlight Dish Detergent sales reps. The brand had been re-formulated and had some good news to share based on competitive research.
